Explore 30+ confidence building worksheets for teen girls.
Adolescence is a pivotal period where individuals form their identity and self-perception.
For teen girls, this journey is often accompanied by external pressures related to appearance, academic performance, and social dynamics.
Studies have shown that many girls experience a decline in confidence during these years, leading to feelings of insecurity and self-doubt.
As a mom of a beautiful 12-year-old, I’m committed to empowering teen girls with strategies to bolster their self-esteem. To support not only their current well-being but also to set their foundation for a confident and resilient adulthood.
The activities that I will be sharing with you today will help promote self-reflection, goal setting, and positive reinforcement. Helping teen girls develop a stronger sense of self and navigate challenges with assurance.
Self-Esteem Activities For Teen Girls
Incorporating self-esteem activities into daily routines can make a significant difference in how your teen daughter perceives herself
Here are some effective activities:
1. Journaling
Encourage your teens to maintain a journal where they can dump their endless thoughts and emotions.
Through daily journaling, your teen daughter will gain clarity and recognize areas she may feel stuck and need extra support in. As well as recognise her growth over time.
2. Confidence-Building Prompts
Confidence-building prompts are a simple yet powerful way to help your teen girls explore their thoughts, recognize their strengths, and develop a healthier self-image.
Writing about what makes them proud, what challenges they’ve overcome, or what goals they’re working toward encourages self-reflection and personal growth.
These prompts guide teens to think more positively about themselves and focus on progress over perfection.

3. Setting Realistic Goals
Another powerful way teens can build their confidence is by setting and achieving small, realistic goals. Whether it’s speaking up in class, joining a new club, learning a new skill, or sticking to a study schedule.
Every goal accomplished reinforces a sense of capability and control.
These “small wins” add up and will show teens that they’re capable of growth and success, even when challenges arise.
Goal-setting helps shift focus from fear of failure to pride in progress, which is a key driver of long-term confidence.
I’ve included a goal-setting activity inside my confidence-building packet.
4. Positive Affirmations
If you’ve been a long-time reader of this blog. You know how much I’m obsessed with positive affirmations.
Both of my kids have been repeating positive affirmations for as long as I can remember.
Encouraging your teen to start and end her day with positive affirmations can set a constructive tone. Phrases like “I am capable,” “I am deserving of love and respect,” or “I embrace my uniqueness” can support her in reinforcing self-worth.
5. Vision Boards
Guiding her in creating a vision board with quotes, inspiration, pictures, and words that represent her personal goals, ambitions, and aspirations can serve as a daily reminder of the steps needed to achieve her goals.
6. Gratitude Lists
A gratitude list might sound cliche. But it’s an incredible thing to encourage your teen to do – if they have not yet started one. Or, perhaps once did and fell off the radar. Now is a great time to remind them to get back to practicing gratitude.
You see. Listing the things they are grateful for can shift their focus from negative thoughts to positive aspects of life, fostering a more optimistic outlook.
7. Skill-Building Activities
Engaging in activities that develop new skills.
Whether that is through arts, crafts, music, sports, or even academics. It can boost your teen’s confidence as they witness their own progress and accomplishments.
8. Listening To Empowering Podcasts
Now the keyword here is empowering!
Today’s teens are growing up in a digital world filled with voices, opinions, and influences coming from every direction. While that can sometimes be overwhelming, it also presents a powerful opportunity, especially when it comes to building confidence.
Podcasts can be valuable tools for growth, self-discovery, and empowerment.
The right shows can inspire, challenge, and uplift them through positive self-talk, mindset tips, and personal stories that will encourage them to speak kindly to themselves and stay resilient.
9. YouTube
YouTube isn’t just for entertainment. When teens follow creators who are positive, relatable, and inspiring, they can walk away feeling empowered. Through learning new skills, feeling empowered, or discovering role models.
10. Books
Books can be a powerful tool for helping teens build confidence by offering both escape and empowerment.
Through relatable characters and inspiring stories, teens may see their own struggles reflected and overcome on the page they are reading. Helping them feel understood and less alone.
So, whether it’s a novel about a shy girl finding her voice, a nonfiction guide to setting goals, or a journal full of confidence-building prompts, books can give teens the language and perspective to better understand themselves.
They also encourage empathy, critical thinking, and self-reflection. All key components of self-esteem.
By reading regularly, teens can gain clarity, feel inspired, and develop a stronger sense of identity.
