1. Alphabet Activities
At the time of writing this blog post, I’ve added not 1 or 2, but 52 alphabet activities to my site. These worksheets include letters of the week A-Z activities. These are perfect for helping your preschoolers learn new words for each letter in the alphabet. As well as develop their hand muscles for writing through tracing these words.
The next set of worksheets includes a range of activities, from tracing to dotting, to spying, to coloring, and much more for each letter of the alphabet.
Your preschoolers will absolutely love learning their alphabet with these fun and engaging alphabet activities.
2. Number Identification Activities
Learning numbers and the alphabet go hand in hand. Perhaps we owe that to Sesame Street – letter of the day and number of the day. Ha, ha.
Grab all your preschool free number worksheets and have fun learning numbers 1 – 20 with your kiddos!
3. Fine Motor Skill Builders
Next, if you’re looking to strengthen those tiny finger muscles, then you need to snag all of all Fine Motor Activities printable pack.
From tracing lines, scissors practice, cutting and pasting, and more!
These worksheets are ideal for building handwriting readiness. Plus, they’re just so tactile and satisfying!
4. Math & Observation Worksheets
Okay, let’s talk early math skills – because yes, preschoolers can totally start building them in simple, playful ways!
One of my favorite go-to resources is the Same Objects Worksheets. They’re super fun and don’t feel like “math” at all (which is the best kind of learning, right?).
In these worksheets, kids are instructed to look carefully and find matching items, which might sound simple, but it’s actually amazing for developing visual discrimination and attention to detail. Plus, it helps lay the foundation for important math concepts like sorting, categorizing, and comparing.
And here’s the best part – kids love them!
There’s something so satisfying about spotting the “same” object.
Whether you’re working one-on-one or with a small group, these are perfect for building observation skills while keeping things light and engaging. They also make a great quiet time activity or morning warm-up.
Some other fun math worksheets on the blog include:
- Kindergarten probability worksheets ( I think these are great for preschoolers, too!)
- Math subtraction from 1-10
- Math addition from 1-10
5. Social-Emotional Learning
Let’s be honest, helping our preschoolers manage big feelings is just as important as teaching them their ABCs.
That’s where social-emotional learning (SEL) printables come in.
These activities will help your child start to understand their emotions, build empathy, and learn simple coping strategies. All in ways that make sense to their curious, growing minds.
One of the most loved printables on Learn Grow Aspire is the “How Are You Feeling Today?” activity.
It’s a simple but powerful activity. Kids are directed to choose from faces like happy, sad, mad, worried, or tired (and the cute party hats make it extra fun!).
Then, they’re encouraged to draw something that makes them feel happy or color things that help them feel better when they’re upset.
It opens the door for meaningful conversations, whether in the classroom or around the kitchen table.
These kinds of SEL printables not only help kids name their feelings, but also build a strong emotional foundation for lifelong learning. Plus, they’re a great way to connect with your child one-on-one. Because when kids feel seen and understood, everything else, from learning, friendships, even listening, becomes a little bit easier.
So, whether you use them during circle time or as part of your weekly routine, SEL activities are a gentle and effective way to support your preschooler’s heart and mind.
Here are some other SEL preschool activities available on the blog:
- Build the bear’s confidence
- Growth mindset activity mat
- Growth mindset coloring pages
- Box breathing for kids template
- Positive affirmation cards for kids
- Identifying emotions for preschool
